Over the past few years Caitlin has also been involved in numerous Monash University Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences (MNHS) campaigns over the years as a university.  In 2019 she played a role of the doctor in a short film the faculty produced called “A Patient’s Journey”.  We invite you to watch the video here.

In 2020, Caitlin, as an ambassador of the medical faculty also appeared in a variety of videos that were produced for new university students:

Caitlin was also on the front page and featured in the 2021 Monash University Medicine Admissions booklet.  See here.

This year Caitlin is the Chair of Monash University’s Teddy Bear Hospital where their aim is to reduce “white coat anxiety” in children by helping them foster positive relationships with healthcare professionals in their formative years. http://teddybearhospitalmonash.mumus.org/

Throughout her university degree Caitlin has been heavily involved in research (including leading her own research study alongside Population Allergy at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and presented her findings at the International Conference of Undergraduate Research in 2020. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pbyrctd6Fk (her presentation starts at 18:01)

This is a proud snapshot of what Caitlin has been able to achieve so far.  Caitlin has said that her education at Lauriston and her experiences at Howqua provided her with the skills and courage to achieve her goals and is truly grateful for that. Caitlin’s sister, Alicia Louey (Year 11) is still at School, and Caitlin continues to feel lucky to still have such a strong bond with Lauriston.
