Felicity Forster (1981)

Felicity Forster is very connected to Lauriston.  This photo of Felicity was taken on her first day of School in Grade 1.  Wearing summer uniform, she was unsure whether or not she was required to wear her gloves!

Prior to relocating interstate in 1977, Felicity herself only attended Lauriston until Year 7, however still feels a deep connection to her alumnae community and to Lauriston.  And the philosophy of the Old Lauristonians' Association is very clear - once a Laurie girl, always a Laurie girl!  We are so pleased Felicity is part of our community, and will become connected to the new UK Chapter which is in the midst of being launched!

Felicity's mother Heather Forster (Le Get, 1953) also attended Lauriston as did Felicity's grandmother Elsa Le Get (Cummins, 1920).  Felicity's mother Heather, who sadly passed away in March 2020, is featured in a very well-recognised black and white Lauriston photo of the orchestra.  Heather is pictured far left, playing her violin.  This violin is now with the Lauriston Archives, to be curated with other wonderful mementoes of years gone by.  We also have a photo of Elsa, playing with her Samoyed dog, taken in the 1912.

Felicity is excited about the Class of 1981 40-Year Reunion which is being held later this year, and while Felicity is now located in the UK and won't be able to attend, she is looking forward to seeing photos and hearing about this very special occasion.  Felicity remembers fondly, her closest friends from School, Phillipa Armstrong, Serena Lawson, Joanna Rosenthal, Kate Wood and Sophie Cunningham.

We hope to gather all 1981 Laurie Girls for a fabulous celebration, and we look forward to showcasing the fantastic evening it will be, for alumnae like Felicity, who no longer live locally.

We look forward to continuing our connection with Felicity!
