Thursday, 15 December 2022

Congratulations to Chloe Di Gemma (2019) who won the Duke of Edinburgh International Gold Award at a Ceremony at the Melbourne Town Hall on 22nd November 2022. This was the first Award ceremony since 2019 due to Covid.

Chloe was thrilled to be congratulated by Dr Annette Rome, former Deputy Principal and Head of Senior School, Lauriston Girls’ School.

The highlight of achieving the Award was being nominated as a sport role model for the Red Dust healthy living program in the remote indigenous community of Areyonga ‘Utju’ in Northern Territory.

Other memorable moments were volunteering with Oceans2Earth at the Pademelon Park Wildlife Refuge in Bicheno, Tasmania, the Island Reef Research Conservation program at Fitzroy Island and Cape Tribulation, and the Great Barrier Reef Turtle Rehabilitation project in Cairns, Queensland.

Chloe is yet another Lauriston alumna undertaking some wonderful opportunities!
